a stranger's bichon frise (+ new designs!)

Years ago, I went on a trip to Yosemite with my dog Buddha. I booked an Airbnb that was listed as dog friendly. It had a fully fenced yard where Buddha could come and go as he pleased, and a long line out front where he could hang out. The listing had a picture of a big bed and I thought it was perfect.
When I got there, everything was as advertised, technically. But it was more like I booked the primary bedroom in a small home, and the host, an older gentleman, also lived there.
In hindsight, this was probably not one of my most carefully considered decisions as a young woman, but thankfully, it was okay in the end. The man had had a dog, hence the dog friendliness. There were pictures and artwork of a white dog around the home, and I learned it was his Bichon Frise, who had crossed the rainbow bridge. I felt for him. I could tell that he loved that dog.
This was also my first introduction to the breed. I had never heard of a Bichon before, and I remember looking it up and loving its white, poofy head. Fast forward to now, Riley, our pittie mix, came back 20.3% Bichon Frise on her Embark DNA test. So in addition to the full body design, I had to make a Bichon Frise Head design. It was meant to be.
